Brussels, November 13, 2024—The second day of the Executive Leadership Workshop for the Supreme Court of Nigeria Management Officials and Professionals concluded successfully at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Brussels City. The day focused on equipping participants with advanced communication and executive decision-making skills, fostering leadership excellence for complex organisational environments.
The morning session opened with Module 5: Leadership Communication (continued), led by Mrs. Kate Davies. Through engaging in panel discussions with Amb. Participants in Urban Rusnak, Mrs Charlane Edwards, Dr Monica Emmanuel, and Dr Haroun Aliyu Ibrahim explored techniques to reduce ambiguity, inspire collaboration, and effectively handle difficult conversations. Storytelling as a leadership tool was a key highlight, with practical examples of how narratives can motivate teams and align them with organisational goals.
In the afternoon, the focus shifted to Module 6: Executive Decision-Making through interactive roundtable discussions. Facilitated by groups, participants tackled topics such as balancing collective and individual decision-making, addressing cognitive biases, and taking responsibility for challenging choices. Real-world scenarios illustrated effective strategies for navigating complex decision-making processes.
The workshop ended with a closing session, including a summary of key takeaways, feedback from participants and the organisers, and the award of participation certificates to attendees—delegates left with actionable insights and renewed motivation to apply their enhanced leadership capabilities within their organisations.
The event organisers expressed confidence that the skills developed during this workshop will significantly impact the participant’s ability to lead with clarity and purpose in today’s dynamic business environment, such as in the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
