AfroFem Unity Club
Objectives
To foster a supportive network for African women and allies for personal and professional growth, encourage cross-cultural exchange and understanding, and promote initiatives that support the development of home countries and global communities.
Target Audience
African Women and Diaspora
Women of African heritage, residing both on the continent and globally, are looking to connect with their roots, contribute to their home countries’ development, and support each other in personal and professional growth.
Allies Interested in African Development
Individuals from any background who are passionate about or have a vested interest in the development of African countries and communities. This includes those working in NGOs, international development, social entrepreneurship, and more.
Professional Women
Women across all professions seek to advance in their careers, share their knowledge, and gain from the experiences of others. This includes leaders, entrepreneurs, academics, and professionals in STEM, business, arts, and more.
Emerging Leaders and Young Professionals
Young women, and emerging leaders are looking for mentorship, networking opportunities, and resources to kickstart or advance their careers. This group is crucial for fostering the next generation of empowered women.
Women Advocates and Activists
Individuals actively working on women’s rights, gender equality, and related social issues, looking to collaborate on initiatives and share best practices.

The AfroFem Unity Club aims to be an inclusive platform that not only focuses on the development of its members but also contributes to broader societal change through education, empowerment, and creating opportunities. Its global outlook encourages participation from diverse backgrounds, fostering a rich exchange of ideas, cultures, and solutions for common challenges.
In the AfroFem Unity Club, we are a T.E.A.M. (Together, Everyone Achieves More). We are more than just a collection of people—we are a team that produces synergy and creates an outcome greater than the simple sum of its members. When members distribute knowledge and communicate well, we are a team committed to and effective in achieving challenging goals.
Program
AfroFem Unity Club programs consist of:
- Quarterly series combining inspiring talks, interactive sessions, and networking opportunities, which is key to fostering a vibrant and engaging environment.
- The club is designed to cater quarterly, to a diverse audience of women, professionals, entrepreneurs, and enthusiasts from Africa, Brussels, Europe, and beyond, gathered to celebrate and learn from the experiences of each other and in Europe’s capital city of Brussels’, known for its professional and entrepreneurial landscape and other locations globally.
- Quarterly Gala/Award Night to outstanding women, partners, philanthropists, and institutions to recognise exceptional contributions and achievements within the AfroFem Unity Club and global community.
Categories of Membership
- Standard Membership: €100 annually. This range allows for covering basic operational costs while keeping the club accessible.
- Subsidized Membership: €70 annually For students, unemployed members.
- Corporate Membership Fee: €200 or more annually, including brand visibility at events.
Visa
For foreign participants requiring a visa to enter Belgium during AGEFADD’s AfroFem Unity Club Meetings/Events, AGEFADD will provide a visa support letter upon receipt of your membership payment and will inform the local Belgian Embassy accordingly.
The documentation required for organizing the visa are:
- A copy of the first two pages of a valid passport of the participant
- A copy of a filled-in or online membership form (given below)
- A copy of a bank confirmation that the Annual Membership Fees, of the amount of Euros One or Two Hundred (100 or 200 or more) per participant or organization, has been paid to the account of AGEFADD in Brussels, Belgium or in Abuja, Nigeria.
