Visa for entry to The Gambia: To obtain a visa, it is required that the participants contact The Gambian Embassy at least 4 weeks in advance with all the necessary documents. The organizers will provide, upon request, the necessary invitation letter.

Fee: $250 (Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars) per person (Non-refundable)

Included in the Fee are: Accommodation, Workshop material, welcome reception, Coffee Breaks, Strategic tours, Dinner on the occasion of award of certificates of participation

Not included in the fee are: Travel expenses, local transportation, evening meals.

  • Analyze the Relationship Between Corruption, Leadership, and Insecurity:
    • Explore the ways in which corruption contributes to insecurity in African nations.
    • Examine the role of leadership in either perpetuating or mitigating corruption or insecurity.
  • Identify Key Drivers of Corruption and Insecurity in Africa:
    • Investigate the underlying political, social, and economic factors that fuel corruption and insecurity.
    • Highlight regional dynamics and case studies of corruption-insecurity linkages.
  • Discuss Effective Leadership Models to Combat Corruption and Promote Stability:
    • Explore leadership models that have successfully mitigated corruption and enhanced national security.
    • Identify the role of civil society, government, and international partners in supporting these leadership models.
  • Propose Practical Solutions to Address Corruption and Insecurity:
    • Develop concrete, actionable policy recommendations aimed at reducing corruption and promoting peace and security in African states.
    • Encourage collaborative efforts between African leaders, international organizations, and civil society to address these challenges.

    • Exploring the importance of community involvement, activism, and CSOs in combating corruption and insecurity.

    • Examination of how institutional reforms can reduce corruption and contribute to national security.
    • Focus on strengthening law enforcement, judicial independence, and anti-corruption agencies.
  • Leadership Development for Ethical Governance and Security
  • International Cooperation and Regional Partnerships to Combat Corruption and Insecurity
    • Examining the role of international organizations and regional bodies in supporting Africa’s fight against corruption and insecurity.
    • Focus on partnerships, regional strategies (e.g., African Union, ECOWAS), and cross-border corruption challenges.
  • Policy Recommendations and the Way Forward
    • Consolidating the key findings from the conference and developing actionable policy recommendations.
    • Facilitating collaboration among participants and institutions to implement long-term solutions for tackling corruption and insecurity.
  • All registered and paid participants will receive a detailed agenda and administrative note and procedures for the conference few weeks in advance.
  • All Conference Reports and Selected papers/presentations will be published annually.
  • Free online foreign international publication journals with very high impact factor: Indonesia journal of interdisciplinary research in science and technology, international journal of advance social science and education IJASSE. International journal of social sciences and humanities review IJSSHR.
  • Saturday, 29 March 2024 10:00 – 14:00, will be The Gambia Tourism/Sightseeing; 18:30 – 22:00 is Awards and Gala Night.

Certification

At the end of the conference, all participants will receive a Certificate of Participation.

Visa

For foreign participants requiring a visa to enter The Gambia, AGEFADD will provide visa support letter upon receipt of payment and will accordingly, inform the local Gambian Embassies in the respective countries.

The documentation required for organizing the visa or participation are as follows:

  1. A copy of the first two pages of a valid passport of the participant
  2. A copy of a filled-in or online registration form for participation (https://agefadd.eu/gambia-payment)
  3. A copy of a bank confirmation that the amount of Two Hundred and Fifty dollars ($250, Non-refundable) per participant, has been paid to the online payment portal of AGEFADD in Brussels, Belgium https://agefadd.eu/gambia-payment, usually, 4-6 weeks before commencement of any conference.

NOTE: Holders of ECOWAS passport from West African countries do not need a VISA to enter The Gambia.
